The Psychoscope is an essential item in Prey. It is acquired during the Detour mission.
When activated, the Psychoscope allows the player to scan Typhon species in order to unlock their Abilities, which the player can then gain by spending Neuromods.
The Psychoscope also allows the player to zoom their view, and install Scope Chipsets, which provide passive boosts.
