The TS-QPB-S11 Quasiparticle Beam is a Weapon in Prey. It fires a concentrated beam of unstable particles that will eventually cause a target to explode.

Ammo[]

Each unit of Q-Beam ammunition in the player's inventory provides a 1% charge of the Q-Beam weapon. The Q-Beam loads 100 units of ammunition at a time, for a 100% charge.

The battery count on the Q-Beam's display is the total number of 100% charges available in the player's inventory (the ammo total divided by 100).

Q-Beam cells produced by the Fabricator each contain 200 units of ammunition, for two 100% charges of the Q-Beam.

Description[]

The TS-QPB-S11 Quasiparticle Beam is a prototype directed energy weapon. A stream of volatile quasiparticles causes rapidly cascading excitations in energetic systems of matter to the point of rupture.
